    Two way player

How do we make a two way player in franchise mode? Seems like you can either make a position player or pitcher..

I believe they have to be used as a position player enough before they can be eligible for both.

They start by being a pitcher then they will need to start and play a position for 20 games. Then they get the 2 way icon.

Does spring training games count towards becoming a 2 way player!

I was wondering why they bothered putting the two-way player option in the player editor when it seemed like only Shohei could have it enabled. Good to know.

I wonder: is there a way to get the two-way player designation in RTTS? Because that would mean I'd only have to make one RTTS character instead of two.

I may be wrong but I see no way Ohtani can be put in the starting lineup as a hitter

I'm playing right now with Ohtani as the Angels starting 1B and Pujols as DH

I've also put Greinke at dh for Houston

Yeah but when I am setting stuff up under 30 team control I do not get Ohtani to show up on the lineups portion. In the rosters menu

I noticed this too. Last year he was defaulted to the DH spot when he didn't start on the mound, so maybe it's like that again for CPU?

Okay that makes sense. But they’ve always said if a player is out of position then he will be terrible on defense, even if his attributes are highly rated on defense. Does this not apply? If I put a pitcher at second base is he going to be able to field his position?

Just edit his ratings for hitting side for the 20 games then change them back.

I wish I could edit Jake Cronenworth to just be a SS. Yes he can pitch but there are no plans for him to be a pitcher. With the 45 man pitcher max he's taking up a space for someone I'd rather include.

Full editing options would be ideal, but at least this way he can do both, and if you do hit the 20 games, he won't count as a pitcher for you. The Padres are planning on him pitching about an inning a week as well.
