Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread

Decided to give Cartwright a try. 7 IP 0 runs 4 walks 10 strikeouts 3 hits. Keep in mind, my lineup is only OPSing .713 on the season, but we couldn’t get anything going. Randy Shannon almost went yack tho on him, but it was off the walk. A good challenge indeed. Lost 4-0. Changes are coming. The MLB roster is not going anywhere soon.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened but I cannot correct the rest :/

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread

Using Bacon's roster, I did a fantasy draft franchise where I picked the first 5 rounds and then simmed the rest of the draft. I created a new team (Atlantis Aliens) and replaced the Red Sox so I could play at Fenway. I am just about at the Amateur Draft and am currently in first in the division. Here is my current starting lineup:

SS DJ Triplett
RF Colby Relaford
C Logan Warner
1B Dallas Shackelford
CF Hack Stephenson
LF Marshall Reed
DH Elijah Weeks
3B Jeron Sapp
2B Bobby Weingarten

SP Tim Redd
SP Jayson Fleming
SP Julian Ventura
SP Justin McCoy
SP Corey Lankford

CP Hector Lopez

Using Relaford, Warner, and Hack has been a blast as they are all in the top 10 in the league in HRs. My lineup is top heavy though as my bottom 3 hitters are all struggling to hit over .200. My starting rotation has been fairly inconsistent as well but overall middle of the pack. Looking forward to continuing the season.

I think they turned out pretty well. The minor league teams are a bit unbalanced in terms of position numbers still but the prospects are pretty spread out and MLB talent is as well. Teams still gave their strengths and weaknesses.

I don't think there's much downside to it

All good, loving my Cubs! Thought once Ridins roster update dropped I would go back to those but I love my team too much! Thanks so much for these!

Interesting, you have a few Royals on this team. I assume you went RF Relaford first pick. He is an absolute beast and reminds me of Aaron Judge. I see you put my least favorite player in the lineup.. Shackleford. Dude's hitting .185 for me .

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread

As the Bandits continue to lose, trades have been made to try and rebuild the team. Team is sitting at 36-52 right now.

RP Eli Baron has been dealt to Baltimore for SP Russ Ortiz (knucklerballer!) and LF Tyler Goode (Willy Mo Pena if he was left handed)

RF Angel Sanchez was dealt to the Padres for CP Jesse Anderson, CF Tyler Green, and RHP Michael Money

I try to make the trades as realistic as possible, and will only trade rentals and good MLB players to teams that are in playoff chases.

I would love to acquire 1B Bo Sparks, but can't see to do so.

I'm looking for a good SS I can build around, but can't seem to find one. Might even look to move our 2B D'Erik Parker to do so. Would love to move Shannon to 3B or 2B.
