Scoring From 2nd Base

Does anyone ever have an issue trying to send a runner home from second base? It seems to happen more for me on ground balls up the middle with a runner on second trying to score. No matter what, the runner always stops at 3rd and doesn't take the wide turn to attempt to score even if im telling him to go home. I can send runners first to third no problem.

I havent.

I actually scored from second on a pop up because the outfielder lazily threw the ball in to the cut off man and I told Bichette to go straight home once he caught it

So far I havent seen this issue.

Do you use auto base running or do you send them manually?

After you take your lead at 2nd and the ball gets put into play just hold L1 and the runner will continue on to home. Make sure to let go before the runner gets to first though.

I can tell you 100 percent that it is not a problem with the game. So, you are doing something wrong. Go into custom practice and put a man on 2nd and you will figure it out with trial and error. Personally, I find classic base running to be much easier than the default setting.

I used to have a similar problem with runners sliding into 2nd when I told them to advance to 3rd. The issue was having manual base running enabled. I switched to auto base running and just take control of the runners after the ball is in play. That solved the problem for me.
