Some things I am noticing. Breaking balls up in the zone have way too much break on them as of right now. Pitches with lateral movement like sliders and cutters I understand. But balls that break vertically like curveballs, splitters, changes, and sinkers should be stiff as hell if put up in the zone. Likewise with breakers that move laterally when thrown down in the zone. I am still hitting pretty well this year, but I would really like pitch movement to be re-evaluated next year

Breaking pitches
One thing I would really like to see the development team do is re-evaluate breaking pitches for ‘21. Breaking pitches break way to late in my opinion. Sure, I know there are some guys that have “fall off the table” stuff, but for a majority of prospects and major league average guys their breaking balls are complimentary pieces. Too many times I will feel like I am perfect on a breaking ball only to come up slightly early or early. I will then go into replay and sure enough the ball is breaking waaaaaayyyyy to late or at weird times for a lot of pitches.

Re: Breaking pitches
Curveballs down in the zone look really weird to me. The ball moves but it just kind of seems like I’m seeing an illusion and a ball that appears belt high ends up below the knees, I don’t see an actual break -
Re: Breaking pitches
The break seems to happen faster than the ball is actually moving. The pitch might be moving towards the plate at 80 mph, but it seems like it breaks at 90 mph towards its finishing point. The ball physically can't go sideways or down faster than it's going forward, but that's precisely what seems to happenComment

Re: Breaking pitches
I thought my sight was going... curve balls have burst. A terrible pitcher with no fastball gives me trouble, but Noah Syndergaard I score 5 runs an inning off. I sit fastball all game. The curveballs I'm seeing are mostly out of the zone. The CPU has trouble with curveballs too.Comment

Re: Breaking pitches
The movement ratings on pitches are always too high. That's why I work on pitch edits every year. Try and make it more realistic.
When pitchers have Sliders with 80 and above movement it doesn't seem right.Comment

Re: Breaking pitches
It has to be messed up because I never adjust. Every now and then I crush one...but, have no idea what I did different than all the other times....
Most of the time it seems like I have to swing at breaking pitches before they even start to break. It has never been like that before.
I especially love being late on 84 mph curveballs and sliders...like how the hell is that happening.....Comment
