Trade value question.

I’m the Rays and Mike Zunino sucks. I’m looking to move off him and his salary and get some prospects or cheaper players.

If I move him to AAA, will he lose any of his trade value? Does the CPU pay attention to that?

Re: Trade value question.

The CPU won't care he's in the minors, but they might care if his OVR is down 2-3 points because of morale.

Man.. the way the trade system works, you maybe even get Trout for Zunino.. LOL.
The CPU only sees... well actually.. I don’t even know anymore.

Interesting position. “In game” subunit is probably a top 15 catcher. Catchers with above average D and over 70 pop in both handedness are not easy to find in the show. Trust me as my team has a platoon of jason castro and max stassi that is providing us a one way ticket to the middle of the division standings

Re: Trade value question.

There really needs to be a trade value meter in the game. With 6 factors affecting it. OVR, Potential, Production, Salary, Current team roster strategy (Rebuilding/contender), and Trading Partner's roster strategy and positional needs....

The AI won’t care about what level he’s in the system. As stated above, they’re only interested in Overalls and Potentials.

If you are one who wants to be as realistic as possible I HIGHLY suggest checking out the trade discussion trade here on the forum. It will keep the CPU from making a silly trade for Zunino.

That’s personal preference, however.

You mean different from the trade value meter in at the top of the trade screen?

Production needs to be a bigger factor in trades and contract negotiations in sports games. A .300 hitter should have value regardless of his overall
