Pinch hitting a pitcher with another pitcher

Hi

So I've noticed in NL games if you want to pinch hit your pitcher with another pitcher (ex. Ohtani) that once the half-inning finishes you then have to use the 'pinch hitter' to pitch to 3 batters (since he is a pitcher I guess). Very annoying.

Anyone else notice this?

I think the game should give an option to manage your roster in between the inning so you can make any substitutions / pitching changes before the players take the field. Currently the pitcher that finishes the previous inning will take the mound the next inning and I would like to have the option to make the pitching change in between the innings.

You do have that option. It let's you schedule a pitcher warming up in the bullpen to put in the game.

That only works if you pinch hit your pitcher with a fielder, then it will prompt you between innings stating that there is a position player in the pitcher spot and makes you select a pitcher.

However if you are using a pitcher (ex. Ohtani) as your pinch hitter it will not prompt you between innings and Ohtani will take the mound and be forced to pitch to 3 batters.

I believe while your still batting If you go into the bullpen menu you can select the pitch you want and hit "schedule to pitch "
