AAA Offense

I'm almost thru May in my franchise and I was taking a look at the triple A stats. The average ERA was roughly 3.50 which I thought was low. I looked up the stats from last year IRL and the league average was over 5.00. Double A was also 3.50 in the show but IRL it was pretty close, maybe 3.75. Anyone else notice the low offensive numbers? I'm just wondering if this has any impact hitters/pitchers development.

In real life, the Pacific Coast League is notoriously hellacious for pitchers. Almost all of the parks play like Coors field (Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Fresno, El Paso, etc etc) so its very common to see decent pitchers sporting mid-5 ERA’s and non-prospect batters hitting .300 with 30 homers. The show doesn’t use real minor league parks and doesn’t replicate this effect.

Re: AAA Offense

The sim engine simply does not produce run totals accurately...they're low across the board in all the levels. When last I checked, the game is short by about one run per game (1/2 a run per team) at the MLB level.

HR totals, batting averages, etc...can all be correct but these do not translate into proper run totals. Seems the sim engine does not account for manufactured runs as much as it should.

My bet would be on the significant lack of errors. In my simmed season there were 2,082 errors. IRL, there were about 2,900.
