Assuming you’ll be using the same psn account it shouldn’t be a problem to re-download it. That’s only a guess of mine though. Nothing has been confirmed from Sony yet

Maybe they'll follow the EA Sports model and allow you to download it for free as long as you purchased it on PS4. They're allowing Madden 2021 purchasers on XB1 or PS4 be able to download it for free on XBX & PS5

Caveat: we don't yet know if '20 will be playable on PS5 at launch - it would have to be 1 of 100 games they're picking for BC, while the rest of the library gets added later.

Also, there hasn't been much that's come out about whether both physical and digital PS4 titles will playable - all I've seen mentioned so far is physical, outside of Playstation Now.

By the time PS5 drops The Show '21 will only be a few months away. I wouldn't think they'd want to take the time to ensure backwards compatibility for a yearly sports title that would soon become "obsolete". The other sports titles will be at the beginning of there yearly life cycle so I would think releasing two versions or making it BC makes more sense for them.

This week, Sony said that they're in the process of making sure around 4000 titles from the PS4 work on the PS5, so one of the biggest exclusive games should certainly be among them.

I have a physical copy, and I'm sure that it will work. My question will be if I'm able to import my franchise from the PS4 into the PS5 and pick up where I left off.

i believe sony already confirmed that ps5 will be backwards compatible. so loading ps4 games should not be a issue.
