Minor but interesting patch 1.17 to drop Wednesday morning.

Awesome!...The name "Gehringer" has been in the game for a couple of years...I wish they would create a "Charlie Gehringer" legend Player to go with it!!

Wandering does that mean 300 names added to the name database. That would be cool...As I stated in the past for this franchise, the name database was huge at the beginning of this series on the PS3..

I think it is more when they say "now at bat #27" will now be, "now at bat John Doe"

The way I read the update. I dont think they added new names, just added new commentary names. I could be wrong.

Updating now. Fingers crossed that they've corrected the 1994 Angels away caps/away helmets.

Worse patch ever they ruined it! Everything's a homerun or not a homerun! Errors are at an all time high/low.

Someone had to say it. Lol

Not discounting anyone actually experiences as we all see the game differently. Just having a bit of fun.

Sadly they didn't update the 94 Angels Away caps/helmets. Hoping they fix it in 21 and add more throwbacks for the PS4 version.

That is disappointing that no new names appearccx to have been added to the name voice files database.

I know it's become the go to response but the lack of new commentary names is probably pandemic related. New commentary is probably a low priority on the list of make sure it gets in the game right now. Yeah they could just record them at home or something and have it sound decent but I say if you can't do it properly don't do it. When I play FIFA I can tell the difference on some of the older audio versus the new ones. The compression on some of the old sound files sounds like a trash mp3 downloaded from Napster 20 years ago. It probably doesn't bother 99% of people but poorly recorded audio in every form of media bothers me to no end.

I concur. this patch is all over the place. doesn't know what it wants to be. I'm seeing homers & singles, walks & strikeouts, errors & webgems, doube plays & doubles in the gaps. when I start seeing punts dunks & birdies, I'm out.
