Interesting that the depth charts part of the video shows multiple years. Hoping for multiple years instead of just one like last year.
Doesn't March to October just dump you in Franchise mode when you are done?
My guess is this is the same small "improvements" you get for Franchise mode too. Also looks more and more like they will eventually phase out Franchise and just have March to October, and you are stuck using their crappy rosters. Not impressed what so ever

Not sure how much carries over to franchise, but looks like the roster management screen now has most info in one spot. Can see top prospects and rankings at positions as well as salaries for future seasons.
I'm hoping there is more to "more roster control " than an updated menu system. The feature list says "empowers user to make better decisions for future of club." EDIT: The more I look at the screenshot I'm thinking it's exactly what it is. There is a new money icon that looks to represent a player who is a FA at the end of the season.
Looks like if you play minor league games there is a way to fast track prospects.

I don't know for sure what happens at the end of the first MTO season as I have always been a Franchise only player. After hearing that carryover saves was taken out, I put my Franchise on hold and started playing MTO to check it out and it's kind of fun so I'm looking forward to this years improvements.

Have never played MTO so tried it out. Few questions.
1. All games start 0-0?
2. You have to use the default roster?
3. You have to play every game?
4. You cannot do trades?
5. You cannot fast forward?
Please Mr. Baseball God, let us be able to continue with a franchise mode as is. Was YTY saves taken out because we are being forced into this?
To answer your questions:
1. No, they put you in different situations as the season goes on. You'll have to comeback at times too, hold a lead etc.
2. Yes, which is my #1 pet peeve
3. You can simulate appearances
4. You get certain trade situations. At a point, you'll set up your trade block with positions to target and they'll give you options of players to get
5. In game, no, but you can simulate
Personally, I felt that that this was the best mode in 20. Franchise is great, but this is the most fun I had playing the game. I love the intensity and the ability to continue it. It looks like you may be able to continue for multiple seasons, so i'd personally love that.
I feel for the Bacon's Roster group, the full minors group (myself before this past year) etc. though. It seems that definitely could be phased out. I'd imagine we get some type of video later this week/next showing about franchise

I don't think that Y2Y saves were taken out to force users into MTO. MTO replaced Season mode.
After seeing this video, I'm starting to be of the opinion that Y2Y was scrapped this year due to logic within franchise mode/MTO mode being re-written and I'm guessing the old logic that was in '20 and prior, did not adapt well to the new logic.
Again, that is only my opinion based on very little information.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Thanks for your response. Nothing like arriving at the game in the 6th inning (sarcasm off). I’m just hoping this is a standalone mode, but I think I see what they are doing here. Guess we’ll just have to wait.
