    Do You Like Pitcher Deliveries?

Is it me or pitchers deliveries get worse and worse every year. Some have a slow motion delivery when they have a faster motion in there delivery (Ohtani prime example) and some deliveries are so robotic and stiff (Joe Kelly).

Well, I think they look awesome. I don't know if they're ACCURATE, but the quality is much better this year. On ps5, at least, using Dinelson Lamet, Sale, Jansen, Buehler.

I did home run swings and comparisons to real MLB players last year as a 30 team feature last year. I was thinking of doing pitcher deliveries this year if there's interest in it.

        How did the swings compare?

That would be cool to see. I'd be interested.

Pitch deliveries are the best they’ve ever been this year....... I have no idea how someone came to the conclusion they’ve gotten worse

You can scope out all 30 teams whenever to decide for yourself: https://www.operationsports.com/grad...ngers-edition/

But in a general sense, I think they came out pretty well for most of the bigger players.

I think they are way too slow and the arm action is nowhere near as violent as real life. Mariano Rivera is one prime example. His arm action in the game looks like he is throwing BP.

The motions themselves are accurate, but the speed and whip of the arms are the issue.

I agree. I think the motions are fine, but they look like they're playing catch instead of exerting a ton of energy.

Randy Johnson's delivery is an abomination. (Legend 8 or 9.. whatever he is)

They may have got the arm angle right, but everything else is wrong. (stance, leg kick, windup, finish... and he never fell off the mound like that, even in his out of control days)

Unlike Rivera, I guess they're not paying for his likeness. But they'd be better off throwing this out. Its not even close.

The motions are not perfect, but I think if they made a change and had the actually throwing part of the animations be as violent as real life that it would instantly increase the quality of all of the animations immensely.

I think even the fielding animations suffer from a similar issue at times. It's almost as if in a lot of the mocap sessions they had someone go through the motion in a relaxed manner and never touched up the animation to tune it so it looks like the guy is trying to throw a ball nearly as hard as they can.

I'd love to see a pitching motion creator similar to the batting stance creator.

I really liked that video. I wouldn’t mind seeing a pitcher delivery version

Exactly like Bumgarner the motion is way to stiff and the animation is accurate but stiff as well
