How to pitch with position player ?

When you're on the losing end of a blowout, how to let them position players pitch?
I always did that in theShow 17.
Bun in 21 it wont let me go out of the "position player on mound" screen.
How to do it this year.
I just refuse to believe they ruined that also.

Can you not back out of the bullpen screen with Circle/B anymore to leave your position player you pinch hit your pitcher for on the mound?

No it won't work anymore.
It states "you must replace him".
When you hit B there is only a small sound .. like the game wants to say nooope.

You should be able to do it if you are winning or losing by 6 or more runs.

Ok. That I have to check.
But why would the limit that?
I played a 23 inning game yesterday and wanted to give it up without era suffering. Couldn't do it ..

It was a rule change from last year. You're supposed to be able to do it in extras regardless of the score though.
