Anyone Seeing Substantially Reduced CPU Strikeouts Since Patch #4?

Before patch #4, the pci for the cpu seemed smaller, which resulted in a good amount of strikeouts. But since that patch, the pci for the cpu now is substantially larger leading to a ton of foul balls that would've resulted in swings and misses before. Also, hitting for the user seems harder now. I've squared up quite a few balls now that seemingly go nowhere. My last game I counted 5 either good or perfect contacts and all 5 resulted in rather weak outs.

Anyone else notice this?

By the way, I play on basically default Legend with a small uptick in pitch speed.

Have not seen anything different at all. Probably bc they mentioned in the patch notes that they didn't change anything related to gameplay

Re: Anyone Seeing Substantially Reduced CPU Strikeouts Since Patch #4?

I'm still striking out the CPU a good bit, but I've had some ridiculous at bats where the CPU fouls off about 10-15 pitches due to their PCI covering the entire strike zone.

My biggest frustration has been hitting on default legend this year. I’m simply not seeing enough of a reward when timining up the ball with good contact. It’s either right at a defender, a weak fly ball, or a home run. Through the first month and a half of my franchise, I’m 3rd in home runs, 3rd in walks, but dead last in batting average and hits in all of baseball. I probably need to look into my line drive %'s

I'm hoping this will even out as I continue to play, but it's starting to look more like the norm than an early season trend.

Not playing 21 so can't help you with that, but PCI size is directly related to the contact sliders. If you feel that CPU contact has been buffed, here are some other symptoms to look out for:

Wider ideal timing window (hard to judge for the CPU) higher bat exit velocity floors. Better CPU pitch discipline. If you feel like you have multiple of those symptoms after the patch, I'd recommend turning down CPU contact a notch.

The patch did nothing. This is a placebo

Nothing has changed in my experience.

Playing default Legend. Gameplay is as balanced now as it was when the game launched.

Re: Anyone Seeing Substantially Reduced CPU Strikeouts Since Patch #4?

Not complaining.. but since I've started my franchise with Ridin's rosters / after patch 4.. I have not lost. I've won the first 7 games of the season . I'm pitching on HOF , batting on All-Star... sliders at default. 4 of the games I won by scoring in the 9th. So most of the games have been close. Could just be a winning streak I'm on.
I was playing a franchise before Ridins Rosters and my record in that season at the time was 14-8.
