MLB '21 Walkoffs! - Share video, stories, photos here!

Just as the title suggests, share your walkoff victories, or losses if you can withstand the sting, via video, photo, stories, or all of the above!

To kick this thing off, here is J.J. Bleday walking off the Futures Game with a solo homerun in the bottom of the 9th:

I just had a great one last night. Bottom of the 9th in a 6-6 game with two outs and nobody on. It was a lefty pitching vs Dom Smith and Conforto on deck so I wasn’t expecting to score and since it was getting late I told myself after this inning I’m simming the rest and going to bed. Anyway, Smith draws a walk and I work a 3-2 count with Conforto which allows me to start Smith in motion and Conforto rips a double to right center and Dom Smith barely beats the throw home to win the game. In hindsight I should have pinch run for him like the game suggested but I don’t like pinch running until my runner gets to second base.

I have a ton, but I'll share the one I'm most proud of. Here's Kris Bryant walking it off to send us to the World Series against Houston. It was especially satisfying because I couldn't hit Kim's slow stuff AT ALL in that series. But he made a fatal mistake and threw me a fastball.

Re: MLB '21 Walkoffs! - Share video, stories, photos here!

Not technically a walkoff, but a huge moment in my Jays franchise...

Won ALDS 3-2 vs. Yankees, and then won ALCS 4-2 against the White Sox in an absolute offensive bloodbath of a series, with 84 combine runs over the 6 game series

Anyway, I'm up 2-0 in the World Series against the Padres. Absolutely pivotal game 3 in San Diego, knowing that if I lose this game, I'm going to be in big trouble with Darvish, Paddack and Snell in for game 4,5 and 6 (if needed). Game 2 went 12 innings and rained, so I burned a couple of starters and a bunch of relievers.

Anyway-Tatis Jr. homered in the 1st, and the Padres lead 2-0 all the way through 6, with Joe Musgrove absolutely dominating, but throwing a lot of pitches. Top of the 7th, with him over 100, I finally break through with a 3 run bomb, followed by a 2 out, run scoring double off of Mark Melancon.

Up 4-2 in the bottom of the 8th, Jordan Romano allows a 2 out single to score Tatis Jr., and then in the bottom of the 9th, Julian Merryweather blows his 1st save of the playoffs, allowing an early inning home run to Austin Nola.

Top 10, Randal Grichuk looks to be the Blue Jays savior when he swats a 3-2 fastball over the left field wall. Dolis comes in for the save, and this is where the real drama starts.

        1st batter-Walk.
        2nd batter-Walk.
3rd batter-K. Got through the 3 batter minimum, but my bullpen is still recovering from game 2, and I don't have much in the way of options to replace him, so I'm pretty much stuck with him.
        4th batter-HBP.
5th batter-Weak contact in foul ground...nobody can score.

6th batter-Fernando Tatis Jr.-I knew this was going to be where I ended up...bases loaded, 2 out, with an absolute monster at the plate, and a reliever running on fumes on the mound. 2-1 count, Tatis hits an absolute bomb, juuuuust foul. I try to get him to chase a slider on 2-2, but he can smell my fear through the TV screen. Full count. 2 outs. I absolutely have to throw a strike here, and rely on my defence make a play. I hang a 3-2 sinker, that ends up as close to middle-middle as you can possibly get, and he absolutely socks it to left. My mind is screaming all of the things that I've laughed at around here..."SCRIPTED! COMEBACK CODE! GLITCHHHHH!!!", as the ball sails to right. The ball is high...the ball is deep...and then out of nowhere, RANDAL GRICHUK LEAPS AT THE WALL AND MAKES THE CATCH! SANTA MARIAAAA!

3-0 series lead. Game 4 when I get off work today, with Yu Darvish facing off against "I don't friggin' know...my starters are all gassed and my bullpen is running on fumes too", which doesn't seem like a great way to close it out. Nate Pearson seems like the most likely bet, but he's at around 60%, and it might be smarter to just accept that I'm going to get throttled, and sacrifice my #5 guy.

Also, please note: I woke up the dog, and my fiance. She wasn't happy. Fortunately, if she leaves, 50% of nothing is still nothing...just don't take my dog!

Goldy walks off the Cubs in the 11th inning. Goldy who had been struggling 3 hits in last 25 at-bats, comes through in the clutch to sweep the Cubs and keep us 2 games up on the Brewers with appx 20 games left to play.

We tested Heyward's arm, but didn't want to leave opportunities on the table especially with how our offense sputtered this entire game.

Funny you mention this. I literally just had one with Hernan Perez who I just called up to replace an injured player. Ha.

This thread makes me so sad. The energy in Walkoffs/series clinching wins/final outs of no hitters completely lacks in this game and has for about two generations. Just threw a no hitter yesterday and it’s the same exact animation as was on the PS3… what’s even worse is back then whenever the players interacted with eachother they became the same height, so all of a sudden everyone on my team is a homogenous 5’8 lol.

And the crowd just doesn’t seem to care that much either.

I do like some of the new animations but they gotta work on making these moments feel truly special

It wasn't a walk-off per se, but it was a game winner

Yes its only Spring Training but still
