Retiring age?

I am currently going through a roster making all the MLB players a 1 rating (F) so I can use only the minor league for a franchise.

Since it's a lot of work, I was wondering what age do the MLB players retire in MLB The Show?

Could I take the MLB players and make all them to retiring age and then sim the season and have them all retire?

Just depends on the player, stats, and ability.

I’m in 2028 and Joey Votto (44 years old) is still playing

Countryboy, I'm currently making all my MLB players have 1 for a rating. I'm gonna sim seasons so all the MLB players retire.

How many seasons do you think I need to do to accomplish that?

If not sim do you have any advice to making all MLB players retire so I can use all minor leaguers in a franchise.

Re: Retiring age?

I have no idea how many seasons you would need to sim.

But I think it’s going to take some time as the game isn’t programmed to accommodate mass retirements in a given season

Re: Retiring age?

If there all age 45 most will retire it it won't be every single player it will make room for new drafted players. Make sure there at MLB AAA and AA.

Your best bet would've been on main menu to create 1 pitcher and and 1 batter zero the ratings and make age highest which I believe is 45. Use those and import over everyone. Do all hitters or all pitchers first. I have done this and can be done in a few days vs lowering ratings on everyone.
