Does a pitcher's performance weaken when left warming up in the bullpen for too long?

I believe their stamina starts to drain. They only need a few batters to get warm then you can change them to “ready and waiting” to avoid negative effects -

I'd suggest turning the warm up relievers option off. This way no matter what they're fully warmed up. I personally could care less about tossing warm up pitches. But mainly if you have an injury or caught in a pinch, forget to warm up someone cause it's a video game. It doesn't effect you or the AI in a negative way.

At one time they did tire if you left them warming up for too long so I always remember to put them on ready and waiting after they warm up but I'm not sure they tire now like they used to. I still put them on ready and waiting out of habit.≡Comment

At one time they did tire but I'm pretty sure they don't tire any more. One clue is the cpu team never puts their relief pitchers on ready and waiting where they just stand in the bullpen. They just continue to warm up in the bullpen.
At one time you could see the decline in the pitcher if you warmed him up too long but I don't see that any more. I still put them on ready and waiting out of habit but I don't think they get tired.≡Comment

Oh I didn't know they came in warm if you had an injury. And yeah, I still warm up guys and even give them the ol ready and waiting option. But turning it off is best option for me just in case I forget. Or maybe I put up runs and I'm up by 4 or 5 now instead of one run. Now I can rest my SU guy or CP or whatever, and instead get someone else in who needs some work without worrying about if they're fully warm or not.

The other day I left my pitcher warming up for 4 innings. My SP was not doing well in 2nd inning and I was going to replace him but then all of the sudden he started getting outs on like or 2 pitches so left him in--he actually had 3 pitch inning which i never saw before. When i finally decided to take him out, I noticed that I forgot about the guy warming up. I put him in and he got 2 outs before giving up 3 hrs in a row. Dont know if that was because he was warming for so long or not. I really didnt notice his stamina at the time.Comment

If they don’t get tired then what is the point of ready & waiting?Comment

They absolutely still get tired, if you have them warming up. I usually make them stretch and toss first, then switch to warm up before putting them in.
