The Franchise Mode Team Choice Discussion

Which team will you be using and why?
Asked this question for this past season and got some great responses which lead me to an awesome Toronto Bluejays Franchise.

This year seems limitless with options. New Guardians franchise, The Mets with Scherzer and DeGrom. Maybe I start rebuilding my Oakland Athletics or start Bobby Witt's rookie year off with a bang! Detroit and all the prospects they have could be fun.
What are your plans for your franchise?
Sacramento Kings San Diego Padres Dallas Cowboys Liverpool FC
Sactown Born, LA Living. Music in my ears, soccer ball at my feet.

Totally stuck between a few different teams and really not sure who to go with.

Rockies -- Kris Bryant signing was definitely interesting and they have some interesting pieces, like McMahon, Joe, and Marquez. Also have some promising prospects with Veen and Tovar who could really turn the franchise around and form a pretty solid core going forward with McMahon and KB. And awesome stadium and awesome unis.

Mariners -- Already a solid team with something to prove and some elite talent coming through the farm system in J-Rod, Kirby, and Marte. Pretty underrated bullpen that's solid from top to bottom, especially with Giles coming back this year.

Angels -- Probably the best duo in the game with Trout/Ohtani, plus the youngsters like Adell, Marsh, and Detmers. And probably willing to spend some money with Upton's huge salary coming off the books after the season. Another team that's probably only one piece away from competing.

Guardians -- the rebrand is an interesting piece, plus they were the youngest roster in the bigs last year, but already have elite players like J-Ram and Bieber. With the best collection of infield prospects in baseball, could be a super interesting team going forward, deciding which ones to keep or how to shuffle them around the field.

Cubs. Favorite team and they’re going through a rebuild and have some interesting pieces in Madrigal, Nico, Suzuki, Contreras, Stroman Hendricks and Alozay. Also really high on prospect Brennen Davis. Will have to figure out if I want to extend or trade Contreras though. Probably depends on how Amaya develops in the minors.

there's a thread like this recently started, may it can be combined with this one?

on topic, my usual suspects are gonna stay as usual. just gonna play one season with them though instead of a franchise:
        Atlanta Baseball Team
        Orioles
White Sox (and Birmingham Barons in select games during the ChiSox season)
        A's or M's
        Rockies
would also love to get one more season out Show 22 time permitting, either Pitt, Cincy or the D'bags

Probably one with my Brewers. Another with a rebuild like A's or Dbacks. Will have to decide soon

My Mets are finally good, I have to use them.

may as well beat the rush. it's inevitable the wokeness gets around to Atlanta.

I'll be using the Pirates, probably the hardest organization to turn around. I had started with them last year but got a bit burnt out so will be trying again.

I'll probably be going with the Phillies. With Schwarber, Castellanos, Harper, Hoskins, Realmuto and Gregorius, that team should be fun to hit with. Bomb City!

The Blue Jays. Mashing with that lineup for 162 is gonna be phenomenal.

I’m looking for a team that’s somewhat middle of the road talent and budget wise. I don’t want to do a rebuild but I would like a team the has holes to fill to be competitive.

Still undecided between Reds, Twins and Rockies at this point and I’m running out of time.

The Twins because they are my favorite team. But I do think they are a great team for a variety of reasons. You could go all in this year because they have 2 top 10 players (when healthy).

They have a bunch of young talent like Martin, Kirilloff, Lewis, Larnach, etc).

And they aren't a dominate franchise like the Dodgers.
