Has anyone experienced mid-game freezing? I’m on PS5. I am wondering if it has something to do with rain games, because the announcers had just gotten done talking about how there might be a rain delay if the weather kept up. FWIW, I was in the top of the 3rd at Fenway. 4-0 Red Sox at the time.

game froze on me in 8th, no rain

Had it happen to me (PS5) last night playing in the 2nd batter of the game. Tommy Edman popped out to 2nd baseman who just froze.

Uninstalled the game, hard rebooted PS5, and played again early this morning. Got a game in no problem. Next game, froze in the 5th inning after a flyout to center field.

Nothing worse then trying to play/enjoy a game that you're afraid is going to lock up at any moment.

Yep. I hadn’t experienced a freeze since MLB 06.

Yeah it sucks. I have shelved '22 and am back playing '21

I've only had it happen once during a franchise game on a pop fly to CF. Hopefully it's addressed soon as freezing during franchise games are extremely annoying when you lose your stats.

I really hope it is patched this week. Since it is a game breaker that should be a priority to them.

Happened to me three times already. Each time was on a pop up to the first base area.
