What do you think about an option in the settings menu where similar to dark mode, you would be able to switch from default color to black and white to play these games? Also, you could select to have an announcer who sounds like one you would hear on the radio during this era. Make it sound like an announcer from Long Island. Skip ahead to the 3:36 mark in this video, and you'll have an idea of what I'm talking about.

Do this, have custom stadiums during the time, have fans in the crowd who are dressed like those in that era, and I bet you would feel like you've taken a step back in time. If I'm SDS, I look at adding these features for '23 especially for the next gen consoles.

Good ideas. They could help with this now by allowing us to use the moments overlays in all modes.

That’s been on my wishlist for years.

Maybe one day we’ll have an MLB The Show game with retro broadcast graphics packages, Create-A-Stadium, Sounds of the Show, and league realignment/setup (a la NBA 2K).

Being able to perfectly replicate an old WPIX or GiantsVision broadcast, down to the graphics and mid-inning music. The level of immersion would be insane.

Not holding my breath, though.

It would probably work out better to create a spin-off game to implement these features and do it right. Call it something like MLB The Show Yesteryear. I for one would likely buy it.
