    Franchise Players: Drafted player rstings

Does anyone else go through draft picks and boost ratings? If so what process do you follow?

My first draft was just flooded with first overall picks rated below 60 and 22+ YO

None of these players will ever progress to be MLB ready. Maybe a few do but they’d be like 28+ years old

I understand not everyone progresses fast or to their potential. But having this many first round picks who have slim shots of being usable in game I need to decide how to re rate everyone

Yes, but I don't really follow a process. I also go in periodically and give back attribute losses to older players since regression is too strong. I let their physical attributes like speed, durability, and reaction drop, but not their actual baseball skills. I also add more attribute points to prospects since progression is too slow.

I try not to get too rigorously formulaic in my Franchise, because then I start to worry about consistency of application. Plus, what with the sim stats not being exactly what you'd see in modern MLB and the bad AI bullpen usage, I try to just go with the flow and enjoy it.

Yeah that’s how I’ve been doing it. Just randomly adding points. I make a few players drafted significantly better so I can get some AI generated superstars (potentially. All don’t pan out

Without editing the league just becomes a bunch of old mid tier guys.
