This week I, out of the blue, have suddenly had an issue where the game would crash late in the game (usually after I have put in a Closer)
60 games into my Franchise (PS4)

Error CE 34878-0

Desperate to continue my Franchise (took 2 bloody months to get this far)

The reason why I ask here in this thread, it's that one of the fixes mentioned is to make sure the PS4 and MLB are updated....
Could there be a possible fix within this new Patch that isn't listed.???

Please…..update all the Rawlings gloves to their traditional Red Label.

Why am I getting this terrible feeling it was a bug that is unfixable?

And why the silence? It is a huge immersion killer. It simply looks awful.

It's not a bug, it was a deliberate art choice, and a bad one at that.

If that is a deliberate art choice…..I am at a loss.

One of the labels is an exact copy of their generic glove label.

Something is not right.

Look around the MLB tell me what 99% of all the Rawlings gloves labels are…..Red.

The classic red label.

The problem is the complete silence on the matter. Why not just tell us what the real story is at this point. Game has been out for months.

And crickets on that. Equipment has been a true mis-step this cycle.

I love the game…..but wow…equipment was never an issue before and it has been very off this year. Especially with an iconic classic brand like Rawlings.

Terrible look, if it is indeed intentional (I still do not believe that till SDS says so). It looks ridiculous.

I was "fully updated"--so 1.9?
I have deleted that and trying again.....

Ok, hopefully the 1.10 update will resolve the issue.

Couple of questions:

1) Are you using custom rosters?

2) Do you have a previous/old save file prior to the game where the issue started and play a game using it to see if issue reproduces itself?

3) Were you able to play any games without crashing post update 1.9?

Yes, Custom Roster from Ridin Orig. About May?

2) Do you have a previous/old save file prior to the game where the issue started and play a game using it to see if issue reproduces itself?
Doing that currently--Tried a different Save point (I save every few games on different slots "just in case"
3) Were you able to play any games without crashing post update 1.9?
Yes, this issue only started happening 3 days ago

I would really recommend sending a bug report to SDS via theshow.com and let them know the game is crashing. They will likely want you to send the save file to them for evaluation so that they have exactly your same "setup" and can see if they can't identify the bug causing the crash.

It's weird that they can add every holiday variant of the Franklin batting gloves each patch, but the Rawlings red label/gold glove labels are just gone.

Especially since they FINALLY patched the same red label onto the chest protectors last week.

Truly a step back this year for equipment despite things they added.

From other games (Madden and 2k) this code has traditionally meant and referred to a corrupted file error. Has happened to Madden a lot to me over the years and only 2k a few times.

Do you have a cloud save for it as well? If so, try loading the cloud save and see if that works.

I hate to say this but this is Very reminiscent of the old bug years ago that would corrupt the Franchise File. This bug was pretty much the issue that caused the invention of 30 team control. They could not figure out what was causing the issue. So from then on a lot of us used 30 team control to fix roster and franchise issues. If you have a save before the game and after the draft see if there are any glaring roster issues on any of the other teams. If this is the case your only hope is to have a save either before the draft and try to replay those games to see what happens or start over.

Now to be clear I am not saying this is the case. I am just trying to share knowledge, help and maybe trouble shoot your problem.

I put this the other thread, but I meant to put it here.

EDIT:

Right on time. Failed to download roster due to a mismatched roster and can no longer access the vaults or play online. This is getting really old. Week 3 of this happening at each Roster update.

I am just about done with this game this year. This is just sucking away any desire I have to play.

'22 just fixed itself but '20 is still doing it.
