I really don't know why, but this post made me laugh.

It's a meaningless belt in a meaningless league. I would rather see Fedor fight for an established league overseas or something than to always be the main event on Affliction cards. This is just getting ridiculous.
Seriously...I have always questioned their business sense, but now I'm just baffled. How dumb are they? Not only are they choosing a UFC PPV to compete against, but they pick the one that has Lesnar/Mir, GSP/someone, and Henderson/Bisping. If they'd picked another weekend at least it'd only be a Fight Night or showing of taped stuff that the UFC will counter with.

It doesn't matter what you feel about Affliction, if they think MMA fans are going to pick to watch Fedor face a nobody over UFC 100 and all its top anticipated matches, I want whatever they're smoking. It must be that pineapple express ish, cause they're flat out delusional.

I'm not against free mma by any means, but it's decisions like this that reaffirm my questioning of Affliction as a long term entrant in the MMA business. They want to use a free MMA show to gain viewers, right? People, probably UFC fans, who may have otherwise not followed Affliction. Hmmm, so why not put the free show against what is probably going to be one of the top shows of 2009.

Boggles my mind. Look at Strikeforce, they're going slowly, not trying to directly fight UFC head to head.

But it's up against a PPV,a big PPV,wich MMA fans will already be watching instead of this so will not see this at all wich is just counter productive. It's reasonable to think that only the hardcore MMA fans watch Affliction to begin with, even then a number of hardcore fans think it's a joke. It may very well do worse than the PPVs because anyone that'd really want to watch it would be watching UFC 100 instead.

It was pretty stupid last time too when they put it on the same night as that boxing fight, that probably lost them some audience but not as much as this will.
