Re: Chuck Lidell set to retire, reported on ESPN

I saw on ESPNnews this morning that his manager said he has at least one more fight in him. No talk about retirement.

Chuck will fight in the UFC again.

He has at lease one more KO loss in him? UFC without The Iceman is horrible, I don't even want to think about that. But Chuck doesn't have "it" anymore.

He better quit while he can still talk straight. Because you know the longer he hangs around, the fans is going to want him to fight Anderson Silva. And Silva going to knee his mohawk off.

I mean at this point, the only one he can beat in the division is Ryan Baedaer. So who going to fight next ? Houston Alexander ? Bonnar ? Thiago Silva ?

Hang it up Chuck, hang it up.

Seriously I don't want to see Coulture vs Lidell 4. The headline of that fight would be " 2 has beens trying to recapture former glory".

I don't want him to retire. I'm not a friend or family member so its hard for me to honestly put his health into consideration. I would rather see Chuck fight over a lot of other guys the UFC has right now. And I do think he can still beat some quality opponents.

He could still hang with a guy like Vera, Thiago Silva, Jardine, Hammill, Franklin, etc....

If Chuck continues fighting I don't see anything good coming from it. Sometimes you just have to know when it's your time to go. Bitchass Matt Hughes is about to walk off into the sunset, Chuck should follow him. You can tell he really loves this sport, it's gonna be tough for him to know there's no next big fight to train for.

Bring back Tito, Bring back Tito! I'm actually being serious...bring Tito back for one fight, pay him whatever the hell he wants and let that fight be Chucks farewell fight. You pitch it to Tito as a chance to prove he was the best LHW of his era while really setting him up to get whipped in Chucks last fight. Chuck is built to fight pure wrestlers cuz thats who was dominating the division when he was coming through the ranks, give him a pure wrestler, and one a lot of people hate, to beat to a pulp for his last fight. Or hell, give him Mark Coleman, another bg name wrestler with very litle gas left n the tank.

I know, but a guy can hope, right? Anyway, just give him some tomato can or has been and call it a night. Dont give him some young guy with potential, hat could be disastrous...give him either a proven loser or someone more over the hill than him, like Coleman. I'd say toss him a guy like Bonnar who doesnt have one punch KO power, but I like Bonnar and I dont want to see him get thrown to the wolves either
