A bare bones CAF? It's a dude in shorts. It's not like MMA fighters wear luchador masks or come out and dance like La Parka. I'm not sure what you were expecting.

But you should check out the new video IGN posted. Shows off some sliders, some hair options, some ways to customize shorts. Also shows off another CAF, whose got a tattoo on his back, an...interesting face, and an accessory on his foot. Maybe that's better?

You can also check out Gamespot's hands-on:

Most notably:

The first thing you'll do when you decide you want to sign away your natural good looks and symmetrical facial-bone structure for a mouth guard and legions of roaring fans is to customise the way that you appear onscreen. UFC 2009 offers plenty of choice here, and you're able to either pick from a selection of premade character types or build one from the ground up. Our version included 13 different torso appearances, ranging from stomachs with chiselled washboard abs to the less-physically-defined beer gut. Although the templates are a good way to jump straight into the gameplay, if you want to take the time to play god and craft your perfect physical specimen, the customisation options are certainly available to you.
What exactly is the CAF like? I don't know. But until I get my hands on it or see a good video of it, I don't feel the need to rush to judgement yet.

If worst comes to worst, use your imagination. It's the best create a fighter tool ever.

Re: After looking at the IGN video, the create a fighter....

for the record, those reviewers never make good created players

Side note-

Career look basic but it seem like its gonna blow away anything EA's boxing games done...

They have generic fighters who look like REAL people

They have rankings

You can see the results of other matches on a event

Only if FNR2 had these things....
