Re: OS MMA Random Thread

He lost 2 fights in a row, so UFC let him go for he could learn to be more well rounded.

Kind of surprised to see Phil Davis in a Sprite commercial.

Re: OS MMA Random Thread

This article got me thinking about some sort of International MMA Hall of Fame and the possibility of one being created. Having just a UFC HoF leaves out so many great fighters this sport has produced. Plus the "I don't get along with Dana White" factor (i.e. Frank Shamrock) wouldn't be an issue.

Re: OS MMA Random Thread

The problem with an international MMA hall of a fame is the level of competition isn't the same every where. And to me to be a hall of famer, it should be based on who you actually beat and not just how many wins you have.

So even if there was one, who would be in the hall of fame who isn't already in the UFC hall of fame other then Fedor ?

Pat Miletich and Frank Shamrock are the first ones I think of.

I agree with you level of competition statement 100%. However, there may be some fighters out there that may never fight in UFC (Fedor) and those few should be recognized. I also see a HoF as being a way to record historically all-time great fighters. 50 years from now someone could look up the HoF and can find a Frank Shamrock or Pat Miletich. I saw an interview with Dana, where he stated that people in the HoF were loyal to him and the UFC. That statement alone shows me there needs to be one that Dana's personal feelings toward a fighter doesn't keep them out.

Exactly. I'm not saying there are 20 guys out there, but there should be something out there where "unbiased" voters get to choose.

Re: OS MMA Random Thread

Mayhem Miller is losing it.

Quote:
Recently-axed UFC fighter Jason "Mayhem" Miller was arrested today in Orange County, TMZ has learned -- after allegedly breaking into a church, spraying a fire extinguisher all over the place, and getting buck naked.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, the O.C. Sheriff's Office received a call early this morning from the Mission Hills Church in Mission Viejo about a possible burglary in progress.

When the deputies arrived, we're told they found the first and second floors covered in white fire extinguisher spray. Cops say the place was also trashed -- scattered CDs, books, and broken pictures.

When officers reached the second floor, we're told they found Miller naked on some couch -- totally awake and coherent.

Miller -- who also hosted the MTV reality show "Bully Beatdown" -- was taken into custody for burglary, and is currently being medically evaluated. It's unclear if Miller was under the influence.

It's worth noting -- UFC honcho Dana White cut Miller earlier this year, claiming "some crazy sh*t happened backstage" at UFC 146 and Miller was fired.

Miller and White went back at it on Twitter recently, with Miller telling White to "kill yourself." Calls to Miller's rep were not returned.
