Fighter specific moves

A fight I was having against Matt Hughes online made me think of making this thread. I had in him in the sprawl position and he picks me up over his shoulder took a couple of steps and slamed me. I had never seen anybody do that move before and I have only played with Hughes a couple of times and never was in that position. So I had to go to practice mode to do it and see if it was how I thought it was.

We all know that some guys have their own specific moves and some are easier to see than others. But we can get a list of ones you might have come across that you didn't know about or just seen. The ones I know are

Liddell- Overhand right
Rampage- Lunging uppercut
Penn- To unique jabs
Silva- Unique flying knee and head kick
Forrest- Unique kick counter
GSP- Axe kick on ground fighter

Re: Fighter specific moves

A. Silva's punch counter grapple is the MT Clinch.
F. Griffin's jab is different than everyone else's.
Shad and Bisping have boxing and a high kick.

Re: Fighter specific moves

yea franklin should have head kick(s)

But on topic Josh Koshcheck(sp*) has boxing and both left and right head kicks, same with Frank Mir lunging hooks w/both hands
head kicks w/both legs, the MT clinch(w/whips), and a 92 sub offense.
Yea Mir is a monster to play as. If i could only get an online match w/him against anybody but big brock

Re: Fighter specific moves

I have a few suggestions for fighters that needs a signature move to differentiate themselves from everybody else who has similar styles.

For eaxample:

Lyoto Machida should have a signature move. Either an evasive cross or a karate kick.

Lyoto throws a nasty cross and uses it in alot of his fights. Perfect for his very elusive style. He throws his cross really quick and moves out the way. The same punch he got Rashad from the 1st knockdown. Kind of like BJ signature jab but instead of a jab its a cross.

Or a signature kick. That one-two karate kick he did against Tito Ortiz.

He should have a good takedown aswell. Hes great at takedowns but BJJ has limited takedowns, only has the drag opponent takedown. He should have the leg trip takedown from the Judo-style.

Maybe even a muay-thai clinch counter like Anderson Silva. It seems Lyoto is better off with a muy-thai base striking instead of kick boxing. I mean he did train in muy-thai. Plus he loves using the elbows and knees.

Gabriel Gonzaga should have the superman punch instead of the flying knee. And James Irvin should have both the superman punch and a flying knee.

Fighters who has Muay Thai who are known for their hands like Houston Alexander, Wanderlei & Thiago Silva should have a signature punch instead of a flying knee. Signature hooks or a lunging hook like the Boxers would be better suited for their style.

Thats just a couple ideas I have in mind.
