I feel they don't have that much to offer outside of Brock, Mir, maaaaaaaaaybe Kongo and Couture if he still wants to go that route.

Who else is out there at HW? Barnett, but other then that?? You are acting like there is some deep pool of talented HW out there that Fedor can fight. HW as a whole is weak, but UFC still has most of the best fighters at that weight class.

My point is that people are making it seem like Fedor HAS to come to UFC or else his career is invalid and it simply isn't the case.

No one said invalid but it would be a mark. It would be something that detractors would point to when discussing whether Fedor was the greatest ever.
