My 1st Experience Playing UFC Undisputed 2009 (Video)
I went on Thursday to visit my partner in crime RW, & he'd been playing the game for a while. . .& in this experience there was an interesting contrast, because he is a casual UFC fan...but he knows the functions of the game very well. . .& I of course was just learning the controls, but I have vast knowledge of the fighters & MMA Strategy as I am a UFC (& MMA in General) DIEHARD. So you'll hear him giving me tips on controls & you'll hear me giving him tips on fighters & general MMA strategy. It's amazing how knowing real MMA strategy when 1st playing this game shortens your learning curve....
1st, I Did These Training Sessions For An Hour & A Half:
It's amazing how fun & intuitive the
training sessions are. It's very immersive.
Then I Had My 1st Two Fights Medium Difficulty:
I found that because of my limited knowledge
of the controls I need a great
striker to start with. . .so I got The Ice Man...
After That fight I wanted to get a better wrestler
so I could experiment with a little
ground & pound so I went for 'Sugar' Rashad Evans. . .
Final Thoughts:
This game is a sim as you can get; the techique
you must employ to get clean knock out shots
& full mounts & submissions is challenging & very rewarding.
The game takes into account real life MMA strategy,
your fighters strengths & weaknesses , your opponents
strengths & weaknesses, physics, balance, positioning,
technique, & translates style vs style very well. What I also
like is how landing a clean knock out shot at any point
of the fight negates all of that 'energy bar' crap, as it should.
If you get rocked, you get rocked!I see a lot of people
switching over from Fight Night this year!!!
