I've been doing things a little differently now. Essentially, I change the setting in Custom Match to Advanced player rating so I only face guys better than me.

Feels like this game has done a complete 180. Went from to many flash KO's and every one just using strikers to non-stop submission fests and every one using submission guys.

What's funny is now that I am only fighting people with a better ranking than myself, my record is probably a little less than .500 but I went up 7 levels today alone. When I fought anyone my record was like .800 yet I went down around 6 levels.

Yeah I've been doing the "Advanced" thing also -- normally get people only a few levels below me (I'm at 52 now I think) or people who are way above me. I tend to take care of business against people my own rank but I'm probably 50% against the higher-ranked people. Makes your points go through the roof when you beat a Level 100 guy.. holy crap.

Honestly that is the way to go about leveling up. You have to wait MUCH longer between fights, especially when you are a higher-ranked fighter. I'd rather wait, fight less, and level up quickly than have to sit through the frustration of dropping one fight and seeing 2000 of your hard-earned points slip away.

The system is VERY flawed. If anything, the whole concept of losing points when you lose a fight should be removed. You should gain points when you win and gain nothing when you lose.

Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Patch Available

Ok can someone clear something up. I have had 4-5 guys quit on me last 3 days and on ONE of those i got a dnf. Anybody know why i got the dnf when i didnt quit? And i know one at least one of those i didnt get the win(i think it was the same one who gave me the dnf). All of them quit as they were tapping.

Are guys back to quitting and not caring about the dnf's?

I started my career and then downloaded the patch after.

Will the patch take effect in my career mode??
