That was the cleanest shaven "homeless" man I've ever seen. Tito is a jerk, but that guy was a fraud if you ask me. He just wanted some easy money. He didn't look like he was starving to death.

I had a friend from vancouver tell me they had public tv addresses telling people NOT to give homeless people money. If they really wanted to help to buy special tokens at designated places that they could give to homeless. These tokens could be redeemed at participating places and stores.

These tokens can buy you food or clothes - that's it. I wish more cities had this system (not sure if van still does it) Money is the worst thing you can give the homeless it actually makes the problem worse.

I'll offer some food over money - most rather have the money. I feel bad, because there are truly some people out there who need it, but you never can tell who needs it.

Ill take someone that has a problem and buy the food or gas for them directly... not give them the money to do it themselves. Honestly, I dont feel bad for people like that anymore.
