It looks like Jardine vs. Bader on this card. As long as one of them doesn't break their leg or catch the HIV before the fight. Knock on wood.

Cain/Nog is the main event,NOT for an interim title.

It'd be idiotic to not have this for the interim title. They don't even know if Brock will fight again, and the UFC has been lacking title fights.

That wouldnt be fair to Carwin. He was the #1 contender so he should be involved in any interim title fight.

Carwin only got the title shot because he started talking crap about Lesnar after UFC 100. I'm not sure he's in any position to complain about fairness.

Besides, they wanted him to fight at 108, but he wanted to let his knee recover. Then they wanted him to fight at 110, but he wanted to be around in case his wife gave birth. Both are very legitimate reasons, but at the same time, he hasn't exactly built up the stature that one would require to put an entire division on hold.

My problem with making this an interim title fight also has to do with Nog. The guy had a interim shot against Mir, lost that and then beat Couture. He hasnt done enough to get another shot at a belt especially since winning this fight almost guarantees that the next fight will be against Lesner.

Lesner is holding up the division more than Carwin is. As long as their is a chance that Brock is returning in 2010, no one will give a crap if there is an interim champion or not.
