Zuffa extends its' contract with the Versus network by signing a multi-year deal with them. The contract also includes the showing of 2 LIVE UFC events in 2010!

Versus isn't in Canada.

I believe TSN2 shows WEC but it's not live. Sportsnet has a lot of other commitments so I'm worried I'm not going to be able to watch it.

MMA Junkie is reporting the first Versus card is schedule for March 21st and will be headlined by Jon Jones vs. Brandon Vera.

That's a fantastic match for a free card.

Edit: I also wonder if this is the first step towards a card on NBC next summer.

all these "free" cards are trash anyways, only reason they do it is because it happens at like 3pm and we can all watch it for free on the internet, so lets not all get hyped because they only do it because they kno they wont make money from it anyways...

What are you talking about? The WEC doesn't take place at 3:00 pm and it's far from trash. The 2 UFC cards might not be the best, that's yet to be determined, but the WEC puts on a quality show as evidenced by the couple years worth of cards.

VS. seems to be doing pretty well for themselves. I was good with just WEC cards, but two UFC shows is icing on the cake.
