Re: WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber on PPV

I just read the news over at MMA Weekly. UHG, I don't like it. I have already been buying every UFC PPV for the last 5 years. I feel like with amount of cards the UFC has been running the overall quality of cards have been down a bit especially with the injuries. A year ago you would of expected a title fight on nearly every UFC and now that isn't the norm. I have felt like if they would just roll the WEC into the UFC it would be perfect but I know that isn't in the plans now because of the TV deals.

Anyways at this point I have considered cutting back on my UFC spending so its pretty unlikely I would be purchasing a WEC card as well. I probably just save my $45 bucks and watch the highlights later. Almost got tickets to the WEC in CBUS next month but decided to hold out. Hopefully the UFC or Strikeforce will come around the Midwest this year. I have been to a UFC and a Strikeforce event. I highly recommend attending a event if you get the opportunity.

I dont buy MMA PPV's I always go to bars and watch'em there. But it's sure looks like they did their homework and came up with a good fight card. At least, like mentioned, it'll make your money worth while. Most of the time I have to re-watch the fights online because I get to sloppy drunk to remember the whole fights anyway.

Strikeforce is looking to counter-program this with their free Fedor/Hendo card on CBS. I want this to succeed but I don't see how the PPV will do that well with free Fedor and Hendo fights the same night.

Yeah, i'd have considered going to a bar, but I'd probably watch Fedor/Hendo and obtain the WEC one later. I like WEC, but it's been nice for free. This card is probably worth it on PPV, but not most...

Ya, if they counter program with Fedor and Hendo there is no way I am getting the WEC. 2 of my favorite fighters right there. Hope Hendo beats Jake down.

Faber/Aldo is sweet.

I don't really care for Henderson though and I can't stand Brown or Manny.
