Yeah they did it for SF but probably because Walker was involved.
Haha, yeah, I realized when I re-read it that it didn't seem as straight-forward as I thought. My bad.

I forgot about the Walker event - that would probably be the reason, but I forget if they have ever had anything up before that for Strikeforce. Who knows.

They definitely cover it. I wish there was a monthly event on ESPN, though. I feel like that would be awesome.

ESPN's web coverage is a lot different than their telecasts.

They have some ESPN contributors that will openly mock sports they don't care or understand.

You would never, ever hear anyone on sportscenter or variety shows talk ill about football or college basketball.

But they'll flame away at all other sports that aren't broadcast by ESPN.

I'm sure they do on other sports but I havent seen it about MMA since the Rampage/Chuck fight. Since then they have shown MMA some respect. They had a ton of coverage for UFC 100 (the weighins were on SC). When Brock came back he announced it on Sportcenter. They showed highlights from the Cain/Nog fight on Sunday's Sportscenter.

I see MMA bashing on shows like PTI and Around the Horn but thats because those shows are hosted by older writers who dont understand the sport. Shoot some of the things they say reminded me of things you used to say about MMA. :-) I'm glad to see you are a fan now, Money.

That's because I'm an old crank like those losers.

I think what's really getting me into the sport is the various great fighters and personalities.
But along with that, nobody is allowed to duck anyone (for the most part).
You WILL fight the top guys eventually.
There's no making excuses or ducking behind promoters like there is in boxing.

And I just love the limited weight classes too. Makes for a lot of packed divisions.

Brock is awesome. He knows how to talk trash and back it up, but he also seems to know when to calm it down and say the right things (see his comments on Velasquez in that video).
