Most likely someone that will stand and bang with him.
You can only do that once. Kimbo isnt going to fight only strikers for long. You dont think Mitrione will try to put him on his back as soon as possible.

Well the guy in your avatar isn't at all one of the most well rounded fighters in MMA, yet he has had a little success.

Again I'm in "wait and see" mode with Toney. You're probably right about his commitment issues.

But again I wouldn't write off boxers in general.

I love Daley but his "success" has come from fighting people who wanted to stand with him. The last time I saw him fight someone who wanted to take him down he was dominated Jake Shields. I'm interested to see him against Koscheck and see if he's improved his takedown defense and wrestling.

He's the a top ten Welterweight with little ground game.

A professional boxer entering MMA who works on his ground game just enough for it to be "good" has a great chance to be successful.

As for Toney. I don't know if he's had any complete MMA training or not. But if he's serious about this he could surprise some people.

Not saying he is though, like you say, he could be too old and uncommitted.

Kimbo's already choked out Ray Mercer too in a crappy little fight league. Nickname could be "the old boxing wash-out beater"

thats actually a really good idea. Lets see who is for real. I'm a big boxing fan so i dont want to see Toney come in and make a total joke of himself. However, i'm a big MMA fan as well so i dont want to see him come in right away against someone good and KO him because then that will bring out the annoying boxing fans that thinks it proves boxers are better. I'm taking a wait and see approach, i wish him the best of luck, i hope he gets in shape and puts on a good show. Toney does have heavy hands so with the smaller gloves whoever he fights better be aware. I dont see anyway Toney gets in shape to go 3 rounds in his first fight. I think he'll get in better shape but he always gets tired and i see the same thing happening.

But i agree, put him against Kimbo, lets see who KOs who first.
