Little EA MMA video

[MC Fatigue]

Doesn't show a ton - but has a little gameplay. I had to laugh when the guy is talking about how realistic it is, and then it shows Rogers catching a kick from Fedor and dropping him with a punch, and then knocking him out with a knee in the next clip.

It's not much to look at - but it looks good in some aspects, and kind of bad in others.

The striking looked really weird and bad.. I got the same reaction from that as I did early Fight Night videos. The contact on punches seemed really odd.

The throws looked pretty nice though.

I thought the striking looked good. That counter that had Rogers catching that kick looked silly, but everything else looked nice.

blah............show me a video that doesn't have Fedor and Rogers in it. All the videos I have seen is those two fighters, doing pretty much the same routine over and over again. The only new thing was the knee to the face.

There were a lot of subtle things that have me excited. The first clip of them fighting shows Fedor and Rogers each in their own individual stance moving around fluidly, Fedor using that parry was extremely nice.

You have to remember that this is an early build, and how terrible Undisputed looked when it first started releasing gameplay footage.

Hell, Undisputed still doesn't look that great in motion.

Don't really know why that is "pure poop", but okay.

I guess I'll elaborate on what I said initially. That very well was the general core gameplay for the EA MMA game, however since it's probably an early build, the hit detection and the reaction of the fighters getting hit (face movements, sweat flying, etc) will most likely be improved drastically before it's final release. However, what was shown does a WAY better job depicting what an actual MMA fight looks like, it was beautiful.

Can you honestly tell me that what you saw there is worse than UFC Undisputed?

UFC Undisputed was a fun game. I had a blast with it for a while. But you're not going to honestly tell me that what was previewed in the video in the original post wasn't 10x better than this:

i stopped watching that vid once i heard the idiot talking in it but i get what you're saying and i agree. At first i thought the EA MMA game was going to be garbage but i gotta admit being able to fight in the ring or different cages is cool, i like that they have entrances, and the gameplay so far look hit & miss meaning certain things look ok while others look bad. That along with the small number of fighters makes me more inclined not to buy the game but we'll see. Hopefully they put out a demo so i can get a feel from there but i do know i will be getting Undisputed when that comes out.
