Dana White Announces GSP vs. Anderson Silva Fight to Happen

For anyone out there that was hoping we would see Anderson and GSP fight they should get their wish as long as neither one loses their upcoming fights. According to Dana, as long as Anderson beats Belfort and GSP beats Shields they will then meet in a superfight with GSP moving up to 185 and staying there.

If GSP is moving up to 185 for good, I wonder after the GSP fight, if Anderson moves up to 205 for good. Would make logical sense. Because if those 2 stay in the same division, it will just be a 2 man division.

I see Anderson handling Vitor. But Jake Shields is a dangerous fight for GSP.

I wonder if GSP could beat a Chael Sonnen or Yushin Okami at 185.

I disagree, I think GSP has shown he can stand and big, he displayed it for 25 min against Koscheck and in previous fights......Shields.....not so much. I'd give the ground game a push at worse for GSP.

Jake Shields is a entirely different beast though, a pretty tough dude to prepare for because his ground game is so good. Jake is just unlike so many other wrestlers or grapplers in that he doesn't power through guys with great double leg takedowns or throws or anything like that. He just grabs a hold of that single and then forces a scramble, and it's extremely tough to deal with.

I'll say it now. There is no way GSP goes an entire fight with Shields without getting put on his back.
