Re: UFC 146 May 26 Overeem vs. Dos Santos

'Reem was probably doping for the Brock fight. Keep in mind he had some issues drug testing for that fight too.. namely he didn't show up. This time he just outright failed his test, most likely due to the nature of the randomness of it. Ironically though, the 'Reem was scheduled to take two random drug tests as part of his conditional license..

His T:E Ratio was 14:1. LOL. The highest it can be is 6:1 in Nevada. He's screwed.

Yeah, he's screwed.
Doubt we'll see him in the UFC for a while.

The only thing that may save him is that he didn't fail a test at a fight. He probably won't be able to fight in the US, he probably could fight outside the US, but I don't know if the UFC wants to put up with him. He was a failure waiting to happen, but up until that test he was always "clean" even though you knew he wasn't.

So I guess he tested slightly lower than Chael did...

But Chael was on the replacement therapy...

Sad sad sad. I'm trying to figure out how he could be so reckless? I don't care how random testing is, he had to know the UFC and U.S. commissions test hard...

If he's smart he fesses up, takes the 1 yr ban and asks Dana and Lorenzo for forgiveness. I think it would be idiotic if they cut him. He's still a known fighter and its not like they have to pay him while he's on suspension. Let him serve the year and then bring him back.

I found it ironic that Chael took a shot at Overeem on Twitter yesterday.

Keep in mind he's only fought in the US 3 times in the last 5 yrs and two of those times were with notoriously lax drug testing (Missouri and Texas). Against Brock, he mysteriously missed the first test and almost wasnt licensed because of it.

Arguably, this is WORSE that he failed before the fight. This is why Uncle Dana is so upset; it removes the marquee attraction. He Marquardt'd the UFC.

At least if he Sonnen'd, Leben'd, or (I guess) Diaz'd the card, the fight still went on and people will magically forget about it.

14:1 is lower than Sonnen's 17:1, and keep in mind that Chael was at 17:1 the night of the fight. Like I suspect, the 'Reem will ask for his B sample to be tested or something and then concoct an excuse. No way the UFC cuts Alistair Overeem. Dana and Lorenzo like him.
