Wait, so is Bendo/Edgar on this card still?

And if Edgar loses, I think he definitely drops to featherweight. I think Bendo handles Diaz but I do think Edgar is too small for 155 and Diaz..

Also, I'm pretty sure Nate would submit Bendo in a five round fight.

I want no other match than Bendo/Nate. I think those are the two best in the division at this time.

Bendo is nearly impossible to submit these days and he has one of the best chins in MMA..

Either way I am a huge fan of both guys and as well as Edgar

I dont think Ben has a problem with Diaz AT ALL. Diaz isnt a dynamic striker like Pettis and he doesnt move around like Edgar. I think Bendo bullies him like Mcdonald did at WW and wins easily.

The biggest reason, pun intended, I see Bendo being champ for a little while is because of his size. He's a huge 55er

I think he'll outmuscle Diaz and might be able to get him down and beat him up on the ground

I do think Diaz is a dynamic puncher though. His quick hands and length/reach will pose problems for any 155er, including Bendo. I don't think it would be enough to defeat Bendo, if I were putting money on it.. I don't see Diaz knocking him out, subbing him or decisioning Bendo..

Regarding the hypothetical Diaz-Bendo fight, I think Bendo would win that fight, must like the Rory/Diaz fight. He is bigger and stronger than Nate and should be able to throw him around with ease and avoid the sub like he has so far.

I'm gonna come back here and gloat when Nate submits Ben Henderson. I've seen dude get submitted in BJJ tournaments on youtube more than once. Plus he got rocked by Shane Roller in WEC, who isn't even a striker.

Gloat away. I have no rooting interest with either fighter. I just look at the facts we have available.

1) Diaz struggles against guys who are bigger and stronger than him (Maynard, Guida, Kim, Mcdonald).

2) Getting submitted in BJJ tournaments means absolutely nothing when it comes to MMA.

3) He finished Shane Roller in the first round. Also Roller isnt a striker but its known that he has power (see the Thiago Taveras fight). No shame in getting rocked by him in a fight.

4) For someone who is supposed to be a world class striker, Diaz has only 1 win by KO in the UFC (the same as Roller). He is a volume puncher.
