Dana White on UFC Tonight

- Looks like Machida no longer has an immediate title shot. Dana said on UFC Tonight that because he turned down the UFC 152 shot, he will have to fight someone else before a title shot.

- Silva/GSP will take place if GSP wins. It will be a catchweight fight at 180 pounds and will probably take place at Cowboys Stadium.

Wowzers

Welp, I'm not dying for a GSP/Spider fight, but I'll sure as hell take it! I'm really nervous to see GSP back in there after this long layoff. I'll be rooting for GSP simply because I did not approve of Condit's strategy against Nick Diaz. He promised a war and it was anything but that. And who wouldn't want to see a superfight?

Everyone should definitely root for GSP now. I wonder if Anderson/GSP could sell out Cowboys Stadium...

Re: Dana White on UFC Tonight

It was interesting that Silva wanted to originally drop down and take GSP's belt from him. I like the fight better at the catchweight Dana mentioned, but either way I'm down for it.

I also liked that Dana stressed the importance of taking your title shot opportunities when they're offered because the landscape in the UFC is always changing. Vitor certainly wasn't in the conversation before Hendo got hurt. And for a guy that was beating down Dana's door for another chance at the belt, I'm kind of surprised Machida decided against it.

They need to let Ariel interview Dana every week.

Good interview. Thought it was interesting that Dana said that he couldn't remember if Jon Jones called him to have Dana tell Chael to stop talking smack about Jon Jones. Don't know if Jon did or didn't but I don't think that is something you would remember either way. I hope Machida has to wait at least two fights before getting a snif at a title shot. As a GSP fan, I hate a fight with Anderson Silva. If he can't take down Silva, it's over. Reverse strategy that he used on Koschek won't work with Silva.

It was more or less a sellout but it all depends on the configuration.

I don't see how the UFC can do anything different than a 50,000 configuration or so at the stadium unless they go smaller.
