That would be a good fight, but you lose 1 contender when there are only really 2 right now in the division. The UFC needs both of them to fight Silva next. Otherwise you end up with him fighting guys he has already destroyed and will do the same again.

Vitor needs to shut up about Jones, no one wants to see that again.

Vitor doesn't deserve a shot. Vitor wants to fight Chael... "go home". LMAO
Vitor has won 3 straight at 185 and finished all three. I'd argue that he is one away from another 185 shot.

Nah, the winner will fight Silva and Silva will probably fight either Jones or GSP later this year. Silva will probably only fight twice this year and only defend the belt once so you only need one challenger. The problem is Weidman is out until the summer so giving him a #1 contenders fight pushes a title fight back to the fall.

I agree with you that Vitor is one win away from a shot.

I don't think Hector truly deserves a shot but circumstances dictate that either he or Weidman is the #1 contender...

Thats why I say keep Hector/Okami. Get him one more fight. The fight is in March so Hector could easily be back for a fight in June. Maybe headline the June card in Brazil.

I wanted to say that too, but I didn't want others to jump down my throat.

If Anderson only wants to fight twice, which is realistic at his age, then yes. You're risking that Hector could have a medical suspension though even with a win over Okami
