I just don't know if Dana will allow his ego to do that, and perhaps rightfully so. You don't want fighters controlling too much of what you do and what your brand does.

Regardless, I'm glad Diaz called out the boring style type fights. I understand it's that "you win by any means" but Diaz has a point in where you fight for the fans as well. Fans don't want to see a dry hump fest for 25 minutes.

I doubt GSP cares though and will take him down with ease anyway. Hopefully Diaz can try for subs...

What can Dana do? Diaz is very popular and will be more so if he beats GSP. You cant strip him of a belt for missing press conferences. The backlash would be horrible for the UFC.

I think GSP gets a bad rap though. I usually watch UFC fights when I work out so I've watched a ton of GSP fights recently. In the Hardy fight, he was constantly looking for a finish but Hardy wouldnt tap. Against Koscheck, he kept it standing, broke his eye socket and the fight shouldve been stopped. Against Shields, he hurt his eye and played it safe. The Condit fight was a great fight with both guys trying to finish.

Only 1 of his last 4 fights could you argue that he just laid and prayed.

Diaz said he is also interested in the LW & MW belts. LW, it would be the exact copy of Benson/Nate, MW, Anderson would utterly annihilate Diaz. That would be such a ridiculous mismatch.

Oh no doubt the backlash would be horrible if Dana pulled that. I'm just saying you can only cater to a fighter so much. So if Dana's ego got in the way I wouldn't hold that against him. Not to mention Diaz owes Dana big time for being in this fight in the first place. God knows Hendricks has a more than decent case to be in...

As far as GSP's style, I think Diaz was talking about boring fights in general. When he was talking about MMA's problems and judging, I don't think he was specifically just talking about GSP. It's the general boring fights and wrestling.

In the Kos fight, I think GSP used his jab excessively. But I'm not taking anything away from him, I think he could have finished that really. Other than that GSP stays active for the most part.

Anyway to catch a replay?

The "boring" GSP stuff is very overblown. I remember watching that Hardy fight and couldn't believe Hardy wouldn't tap. I also don't see him being boring w/ this personal vendetta he's got w/ Diaz.

First of all, GOAT conference call.

Dana: "No shocker we can't find Nick Diaz as soon as we do we'll let you know"
Nick: "HELLO??... ****er" (listen close, he says it)

"uneducated foohhll" HAHAHA

Ariel Hel-WINNI!

HAHA that soccer mom story had me ****in dyinggggg

Diaz: "if anything I'm the super hero coming in with the anti-bull ****. This is MMA, but this is something boring *** **** we've been watching lately."

When GSP said "I started from the bottom" He better come out to that now.
