Machida needs to fight Silva next. It could be a huge payday. Do it in the largest arena you can find in Brazil. He can still fight near the top, but I don't think he is getting a title shot again.

I think he's going to get the winner of Jacare/Romero or Rockhold. If he wins his next bout, I think he gets another crack at Weidman.

I think he has the highest chance of beating Weidman. He's already fought him before, and I'm sure he has him figured out. Hell, if he wasn't so conservative in the opening rounds of their first fight, I think he could have won the fight.

If he gets one or two more wins he'll definitely get another title shot.

I think if he fights the first 2, they pressure him and take him down. Then the fight is over. Rockhold would probably be a good fight and he has a 1 punch/kick chance, but Rockhold has age and will probably win. Plus I would rather see Rockhold fight for the title.

That's why I would rather see superfights for him. He is still talented, but the rest of the top fighters are bad matchups. Fight Silva, a Diaz, etc. They will keep it standing and he can do what he did to CB.

I don't think you'll see those two guys ever fight each other.

Machida has outstanding take down defense in the clinch... Add in his elusiveness and I like his chances against both of those grapplers.

Machida and Silva train together. The only way they fight is if there is a title on the line.
