lots of upsets with some good finishes

Bigfoot needs to retire, he looked bad out there, weigh-ins, etc. I don't think he can even stay in the shallow HW division without TRT.

I've heard alot of people say this. Does TRT help your chin? Thats a serious question.

Also look at his record. He's been KO'd by some elite guys or elite strikers with KO power. Cain twice. Cormier. Arlovski. Even Mir has decent power. I'm not ready to close the book on Silva yet.

It appears that TRT may help your chin if you look at some of the fighters who have stopped using it. Mir dropped him with a shot that didn't look like it should. Look at the shoots he took in the fight with Hunt and now without TRT Mir knocks him out with a short punch that wasn't really meant to knock him out.

Not sure how TRT could help, but looking at results, you can see some correlations. Look at Henderson getting dropped all the time now. Sure its usually older fighters, so age may be playing into it also.

In Silva's case, the guy just doesn't look healthy not taking it. He has real issues where he needs TRT and not being able to take it, probably isn't helping his overall health.

I think its more that the Hunt fight took a ton out of him. That typically happens when you fight those kind of wars. The Hunt fight took his chin.

I think Dan is a bad example too. He fought two great strikers in Belfort and Gegard. The rest were submission losses or decisions. He's just old.

Re: UFC Fight Night: Bigfoot vs. Mir - February 22

bigfoot is a strange beast to me. You look at him and totally understand the nickname and he looks like a 'giant' like you would expect from farytales lol, but the crazy thing is HE's not THAT big!!! He's only 6'4" ... does he have a medical condition or a birth deformity that caused his head to look like that? I'm not trying to insult him - it's just funny that he's always hyped as being huge like Andre the Giant or something and he is a big guy to be sure, but if he was standing around on an NBA court he'd look like an overweight point guard lol

Mir surprised me, I was actually expecting him to lose, then he went all Pat Smith circa 1992!
