Gotta love the internet. Poor, Dana. At least he still has Rousey.

Losing GSP, Silva and Jones hurt, but Cain not so much. He's no where near as big a Star as the others and has the personality of a brick. Combine that with the fact he hasn't fought in 2 years and I believe Dana is more relieved.

Werdum speaks 3 languages(Spanish, Portuguese, English) he even joked about speaking Japanese. He has beaten Fedor, Big Nog and Cain which is insane when you think about it. In the embedded UFC videos he came across as very funny and likeable. IMO Werdum is far more marketable.

Speaking of marketable those 189 promos were great. Say what you want about Mcgregor, but he's about to make himself and Aldo a ton of money.

- Hill and Torres had potential to be a stand up showcase for Torres, but instead she took the easy/boring way out and laid on her for 13mins.

- Alverez winning two rounds after suffering what looked like a broken nose was impressive.

Dana needed Cain to get Mexico. The top 2 "Mexican" fighters on the card lost and didn't look good doing it.

I still agree with Hiro. I'd put Brock's picture there before Cain's.

Eddie Alvarez has a broken nose and orbital bone. Not the war I was expecting, but he definitely toughed it out.

Just speculating but maybe he didn't feel comfortable going there for that long. Some people need familiarity - in fact if I was fighting I would rather do a full camp in big bear then fly there a week before rather than live in mexico city for 2 months. It all depends what your makeup is.

If you go to mexico and accidentally take in bad water or something and get the shizz'ts or a parasite that would make altitude training look like a walk in the park.

I agree though, he should have gone to one of the many places to choose from to train at altitude.

on another note, I'm REALLY glad Werdum won, his style is so much more exciting to me with the muay thai game and jiu jitzsu combination. Boxer/wrestler is probably the most successful combo when looking at all the fighters in the UFC - it's the 'safest' way to success.

epic fight tough - loved it.

The 600-day gap between fights also had something to do with how Cain performed. That, and I think he bought too much into the hype of him being this "cardio machine".
