Re: Duffee v. Mir - 7/15 - San Diego

I ended up falling asleep during this last night. Those prelims sucked the life out of me. Glad to hear Mir won. I'll have to watch it later on today. Went 5/5 with my picks too. Things are right with the world right now.

Rothwell would probably make the most sense, but Mir would be a good rebound fight for Cain as well. Personally, I'd like to see Mir vs. Arlovski simply because it should have been a fight for the HW Title 10-11 years ago, but we missed out on it because of Mir's motorcycle accident.

I think that was the quickest I have watched fights that have gone to a decision, man those were boring by both fighters.

While Holly utilized her range with the kicks and it was a very successful strategy, my lord was it boring. I know this girl has fought in kickboxing but her strength was her boxing career so it seems weird she does not utilize it often. She is going the Money Mayweather route of winning by point fighting. I hope it changes, because I think she can be a exciting fighter.

The last two fights were good, but yeah, the rest was not enjoyable.

I really hope that Reebok does something to differentiate the fighter's shorts a bit. Some more colors and designs, or whatever. It's a 1-on-1 sport, there should be a bit more individuality. Everyone looked so generic these last two cards.

Thats what I dont get. This was supposed to be the big Reebok roll out and all they have are two versions of shirts and shorts. Where are the different colors? The different designs?
