Huh? That doesnt even make mathematical sense. Lets use your logic and say Henderson should be ranked higher. That makes Bisping #9. Using your logic, you cant put Dollaway or Leites above him because Bisping beat them.

Then who is 10 if Bisping is 9? I thought he might have been 10 since he hasn't done much. I normally don't look at the rankings because of their inconsistency

Sounds like Henderson's entire UFC career along with a bunch of other guys, as well.... and as much as I'd love to see Hendo knock Bisping's block off again, Hendo has said that he has no interest in a rematch, so he's going to have a tough time redeeming that loss.

He will stay in the 5-10 range, but he really doesn't belong in a fight with the top 5.

I agree that he shouldn't be in the top 10, but there aren't any better fighters to replace him. I would reserve top 10 spots for people who can challenge for the belt. Fighters who are working their way up.

He is stuck in that 5-10 range and will probably stay there unless a lot of new talent comes into the division.

This is becoming comical. I know you dont like or respect Bisping but here are the facts:

Bisping has 17 UFC wins.
He has wins over good MW like Le, Belcher, Stann, Akiyama, Leites and Dollaway.
You could also argue that he beat Sonnen and W. Silva and was robbed of those decisions.

As for the rankings, you dont seem to understand how those work. Just because you have a win over someone doesnt mean that you will alwyas be ranked over that person. Lil Nog has a win over Rashad Evans but that doesnt mean that he deserves to be ranked over Evans simply because of that win.

Time matters. Recent wins matter. Bisping is on a 2 fight win streak and has won 4 of his last 6. Henderson has 1 recent win and is 2-5 in his last 7. Thats why Bisping is ranked higher than him.

Finally, there is not another MW other than the people in the top 7, who should be ranked higher than Bisping right now. Not Brunson. Not Leites. Not Dollaway. Not Cainario and Not Boestch.

He deserves to be ranked #8 right now.

Thats pure speculation though. "Challenge for the belt"? I prefer ranking people based on their current wins, finishes and who they have beat. Rankings arent a popularity contest (for the most part). Its based on who you beat.

There is not a person below Bisping with a better recent record and two recent wins over top 10 competition.

Of course Pappy would like this post because you mentioned Rashad lol.

On topic- Bisping is absolutely top 10. Just because he hasn't been able to beat the "elite of the elite" (although I thought he beat Sonnen) doesn't mean he's not top 10. I do wonder how much that damage to the eye has hurt him though. It's clearly different.

Lol. That's why I used the Rashad reference. Also because it's one of the rare instances where someone has a recent win over a person but is ranked below them.

I think the eye was a big reason he lost the Kennedy fight. The rest of his recent losses have been legit other than Vitor's trt use.
