seems like Bader is just one of those "good but never great" guys.

Re: Rumble Johnson vs Ryan Bader - UFC Fight Night Jan. 30

Did Sage want to fight at 170 after his first opponent got hurt or was it just a matter of there not being a matchup the UFC could find for him on short notice at 155? Also, did he train at Tristar at all for this fight? I know Firas was in the corner but someone told me his dad won't let him go up there for extended periods of time or something like that?

Not blaming either of those factors for the loss, by the way, just wondering

Re: Rumble Johnson vs Ryan Bader - UFC Fight Night Jan. 30

It was 170 because of short notice, no one could make weight. Both guys were similar sizes so no issues there. Who knows if he stays or not.

He's still in school so he isn't training full time. His father is going to be a problem. Saw someone posted a shot of the corner and he was turned so he could see his dad instead of his coach. Big problems there when you have a great coach and your dad knows nothing of MMA.

Also saw something during the fight that looked like he hurt his right foot while kicking in RD1. He was making faces like he was in pain afterwards, but didn't see anything about it. Will have wait for the medical suspensions to be released.

I'd rather see Rumble vs Bones than seeing a rematch between Rumble and DC.
