Till should be forced to move up and start over. He can't make weight and uses his size for his power. Cut all the mass or move up.
Pretty much this. Wonderboy had 3 rounds for sure. 49-46 Till is pretty ridiculous. Other than Till's kd, neither fighter did much damage cuz the fight was so technical. That said I still dnt mind Till winning, cuz I dont wanna see the same title fight again.

Till knocked Wonderboy down and did more damage with leg kicks.

Rounds, not 1 knockdown, is how a fight is scored.

The leg kicks were weak and not significant strikes for the most part, a few were, but not 15. Fight metrics can't be trusted, they seem to over value a lot of strikes.

These judges were not good, the 2 that scored it 49-46 both had questionable scores in other fights. Basically everyone scored it 48-47, if you use 10 point must, for Thompson.

Till arguably won rounds 2, 3, & 5. Which he did.

It was definitely a competitive fight. It could've gone either way. That KD really sealed it for Till tho imo.

Except that round 3 had Thompson winning on 2 cards.

It's usually not this bad, but 22 of 25 media members scored it for Thompson.

Till is at least saying he shouldn't get a title shot. Saying he has to work on his weight first and get it better managed.

Re: UFC Fight Night 130: Thompson vs Till

The judging is based on effective striking/grappling, aggressiveness, and control.

Till could've won round 4 too. Which he did, on all three scorecards.

He won based on the criteria.

According to judging logic rounds where striking/grappling is relatively even, aggressiveness becomes more important.

So there is even a case for Till winning the even rounds.. which there were a lot of.

At least the welterweight belt is kind of on hold right now. I don't know who rightful contender is outside of RDA/Cobly. Probably Usman?

Lots of higher ranked ww's are coming off of losses.
