The stoppage was definitely early after watching on replay. Most of the punches on the ground missed or were blocked. He could have continued, but it still may have ended like that.

That push showed what the weight cut did to TJ. He had no strength, who knows how long he has been suffering to cut weight. He had to drop beforehand and then cut from there.

135 should give TJ the advantage, but it's only 10 lbs. Henry will need to keep his speed with adding weight.

Issue is that TJ wins, what happens now? You know they will want a 3rd fight and that will just hold 2 more divisions up with all the other divisions that have issues.

I was just wondering about them ?

Yo for real Broner tried to get a single leg on Paqiuao.

Seriously tho , hope they are ok . It's weird that they didn't post nothing during the event . I tweeted at Dave days ago but no response.

Re: UFC on ESPN+: Cejudo v Dillashaw

I thought it was a bad stoppage. Unfair to TJ, he wasn’t given a fair chance to recover. 9/10 refs let that fight continue. I mean, just earlier tonight Glover Teixera was allowed to fight through what was practically a KO (and went on to win).

That ref was going berserk from the instant TJ first staggered. You could just tell as soon as Cejudo staggered TJ that the ref was looking for any reason to stop that fight. He was so over-excited and frantic while Cejudo was missing punches and TJ was recovering and basing.

Just a terrible stoppage. Yeah, maybe TJ was going to get finished anyways. Maybe it was coming within a few more seconds. But at the time of the stoppage, TJ was totally coherent, actively getting to his base whilst defending himself. He wasn’t shelled up, or showing signs of being unintelligently defending himself.

I mean, still, super impressive from Cejudo. He had a great start, seemed to be very comfortable on the feet. The way TJ fell from that push was suspect, maybe the weight cut had something to do with it. But at the end of the day, we were still deprived of seeing how that fight actually ends, because the referee was too ancy and nervous.

Re: UFC on ESPN+: Cejudo v Dillashaw

I dont get why everyone keeps saying Cejudo was missing. He dropped TJ like 3 times within 20 seconds.

That head kick was blocked(with only 1 hand) but was clean and still had impact. He dropped off the right hand and then Cejudo pounced. TJ went down 2 more times after the initial drop.

It does suck that there’s so much inconsistency between refs tho.

He looked like he was still defending and alert to me. And being the champion, I feel like you should get every chance.
